What the PitchName Chrome extension and pitchname.com handle, and why. The short version: PitchName works inside your browser, keeps your leads on your computer, and has no user accounts.

What PitchName does not collect

  • We do not ask for, see or store your Google username or password.
  • We do not upload your searches, the businesses you find, your notes or your templates to our servers.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies in the extension.
  • We do not sell or rent any personal information.

Data stored on your computer

PitchName saves the following in your browser's own extension storage. It stays on your device, and you can delete it at any time from the extension or by removing it:

  • Your searches and the businesses found: name, category, address, phone, website, rating, review count, Google Maps link, and any public emails and social links found.
  • Your pipeline: statuses, notes and follow-up dates you add.
  • Your outreach profile (your name and signature) and pitch templates.
  • Your settings, your licence key and its status.

You can export everything to a backup file from the Account screen. That file is saved by you, wherever you choose.

How PitchName collects business details

When you click Find buyers, PitchName opens Google Maps in a tab of your browser and reads the public business listings shown there. When you use Find emails, and only after you allow it, PitchName visits those businesses' public websites to read published contact emails and social links. These requests go directly from your browser to Google and to those websites. They are not sent through or to us.

The Domains tab checks whether domain names are registered using public DNS (Google Public DNS) and the official registry lookup services (RDAP) listed by IANA. Only the domain names you check are sent to those services.

Online settings

The extension downloads its settings from our server, such as plan limits, registrar links, prices and announcements. This request contains no personal data: it does not include your licence key, your searches or your leads.

Licence keys and payments

PitchName licences are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. When you get a free key or buy Lifetime, Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address and, for paid plans, billing and payment details, and processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive order details (such as your name, email and plan) so we can provide support. We never see your full card details.

When you activate, check or remove a licence key, the extension sends to Lemon Squeezy's licence service:

  • your licence key;
  • an installation name and an activation ID created by Lemon Squeezy for that browser.

This lets us apply the browser limit and switch a licence off after a refund. The extension re-checks the key every few days.

This website

pitchname.com does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers and Google may receive your IP address, as described in Google's privacy policy. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security.

Your responsibilities

The business details PitchName finds are public, but how you use them is up to you. If you contact businesses, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to you and to them, such as CAN-SPAM in the United States, GDPR and ePrivacy rules in Europe, or Morocco's Law 09-08.

Emails you send us

If you contact support, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Because PitchName data stays on your computer, you control it directly. For anything we or Lemon Squeezy hold, such as order records, email support@pitchname.com and we will help.

Children

PitchName is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
